COVID-19 Coronavirus Update
The Aqua Energy Leisure Centre is back to normal operation with some minor changes. All indoor pools, Gym and Group Fitness is operating. Following the latest advice from the Chief Health Officer, face masks are now required indoors. Masks may be removed when exercising or swimming.

Following the advice from the Premier of Victoria, we are pleased to be further opening our facility to our members and guests. These changes will come into effect from 11.59pm, Wednesday 17 February 2021.

We ask that you take time to read all of the information provided to ensure that you are fully aware of operations when you come to use the facility.

Operating Hours

  • Operating hours 6am - 8pm weekdays and 8am - 6pm on weekends and Public Holidays


  • 25m Pool (up to 80 people)
  • Warm Water / Hydrotherapy Pool for exercise and rehabilitation (up to 38 people)
  • Learn to Swim / Toddler Pool for recreational / fun swim (up to 32 people)
  • Gym (up to 88 people)
  • Group Fitness classes (20 per class, bookings required for morning BodyPump and Aqua Easy Classes only)
  • Customer Service
  • Kiosk for takeaway purchases only (including coffee)

Attending the facility

  • Main entry only (all members, casual users and visitors)
  • Members entrance will remain closed whilst contact tracing is required
  • Time restricted visits may apply
  • If you are unwell in any way please do not attend the facility

Sign in / Visit Recording Process

  • All people attending the facility are required to be recorded for contact tracing, please allow time for this
  • Contact tracing is required for every visit to the facility and all attending including children need to be recorded
  • Up front and direct debit members will be scanned at customer service and details automatically recorded
  • Non members contact details will be recorded along with the sale

Casual Fees and Membership Options

  • Up front memberships have had extensions added for the time missed due to the closure and can be used as normal
  • Direct debit memberships will be active and payments resumed from Thursday 5 November 2020
  • Members who wish to suspend their membership can do so by completing a Membership Variation Form
  • Members who wish to cancel their membership can do so by completing a Membership Cancellation Form
  • Members should have their Membership Card with them ready for scanning at time of entry
  • Normal casual entry fees apply to non members

Gym Usage

  • Gym usage will return to normal operation, come when you like during operating hours, stay as long as you like, no bookings required
  • Teen Gym returns Monday - Friday 3.45pm - 5pm & Weekends 2.30pm - 3.30pm
  • Members must bring their membership card for easy entry
  • All gym users must bring a towel and use it during each workout
  • All equipment must be wiped down after each use with sanitising wipes (provided)

Group Fitness Bookings and Participation

  • Group Fitness class sizes increase to 20 per class
  • Bookings essential for morning BodyPump classes and Aqua Easy only and can be made here
  • No bookings required for any other Group Fitness class
  • Classes are available for members and casual users
  • 20 participants per Group Fitness class
  • Members must bring their membership card for easy entry
  • All participants must bring a towel and use it during each class
  • All equipment must be wiped down after each use with sanitising wipes (provided)

Strength For Life and Pink Ribbon Programs

  • Strength for Life and Pink Ribbons sessions return to normal programming
  • 8am Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 10.30am Monday - Saturday, 11.45am Monday, Wednesday & Friday and 6pm Tuesday & Thursday
  • There are number limits per session
  • Members must bring their membership card for easy entry
  • All participants must bring a towel and use it during each class
  • All equipment must be wiped down after each use with sanitising wipes (provided)

Recreational / Play Swim

  • The Learn To Swim / Toddler pool will be open for recreational / fun swims a\t all times, however there will be limited space between 3.30pm - 6.15pm whilst lessons are on
  • All children 10 yrs or under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16
  • Children 4yrs and under must have an adult in the water with them at all times as per the Watch Around Water guidelines
  • Visits may be restricted to 1hr at a time, dependent on attendance numbers
  • Children are not to be in the Hydro Pool unless undertaking Warm Water Exercise / Rehab 
  • Space restrictions apply 
  • All visitors to the facility must be recorded for contact tracing

Swim School

  • Lessons are back for all ages
  • If you wish to enroll your child you can do so here
  • Play / fun swims after lessons are allowed, however space will determine this
  • Preferred one adult per child to keep numbers in the facility within restrictions
  • All students, Parents / Guardians and siblings must be recorded for contact tracing
  • If you haven't been contacted regarding swimming lessons and think your child is within the levels contact us on 5142 3700

Change Rooms

  • All change rooms are open for full use
  • All users must adhere to social distancing markers in each change room

Equipment Use

  • Aqua Energy will not have pool equipment available to borrow
  • Customers are welcome to bring their own swimming aides
  • Noodles will be available for sale from customer service staff
  • Group Fitness participants are encouraged to bring own mats to each class (when possible)
  • Boxing gloves will not be available for use in the gym

Face Masks

  • All people aged 12yrs and over MUST wear a mask when in the facility and when moving around out of water or out of workout
  • If you have an exemption from wearing a mask, please ensure you provide proof of this to staff

Social Distancing Rules

  • Please stay 1.5m away from others wherever possible
  • Please follow distance markers around the facility
  • Please follow all directions from staff when using the facility

Hygiene Health

  • Please use supplied hand sanitizer when entering the facility
  • Please practice cough and sneeze etiquette
  • Please wash your hands regularly

Do not attend if unwell

  • If you are unwell in any way, please do not attend and use the facilities
  • If you are showing signs of illness, you may be asked to leave the facility
