Aqua Energy offer First Aid, CPR, Lifeguard, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training through Life Saving Victoria.

Aqua Energy is a third party training provider delivering quality, highly effective training First Aid, CPR, Pool Lifeguard, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management courses on behalf of Life Saving Victoria (LSV).

LSV is a registered training organisation (RTO ID: 21799) and is regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). LSV is approved to deliver nationally accredited vocational education and training services throughout Victoria.

First Aid

Life Saving Victoria’s First Aid Training Course in Melbourne and regional Victoria was formerly known as level 2 first aid / workplace first aid and is recommended for any person employed as an occupation health and safety or first aid representatives or who needs the qualification for their work. It is also recommended for anybody working as a care worker, sports coach, trainer, educator, or a person working in a high risk environment.

This course will equip candidates to act quickly and confidently in an emergency situation. The course focus includes casualty assessment, one and two person CPR, choking, situation management and emergency services communication.

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of:

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Emergencies happen every day, in the workplace, in the home and out and about. Learning these vital lifesaving skills and techniques could make a huge difference in the life of someone you care about.

Life Saving Victoria’s CPR course in Melbourne will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be able to confidently take control of potentially life threatening emergencies until professional assistance arrives.

The course focus includes cover the signs and symptoms and treatment options for incidents including first aid and CPR / breathing conditions.

The CPR training course is ideal for all Victorians, but in particular those who have the responsibility for the care of another or have the duty of care towards a person in their personnel or professional lives.

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of:

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Pool Lifeguard

LSV is the premier provider of Pool Lifeguard and Bronze Medallion courses in Victoria and delivers to more lifeguards and aquatic supervisors than any other organisation. The course proudly combines RLSSA standards with Victoria’s best trainers and resources. Full and update courses are delivered weekly from a wide range of the best aquatic venues in Victoria.

This course is recommended for any person wishing to achieve employment as a lifeguard in the aquatic industry and is a required qualification for staff in this position. It is also recommended for those involved in aquatic exercise, swim coaching or those who are responsible for the supervision and safety of people in and around swimming pools.

This course requires candidates to hold the following prerequisite unit:

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of the following units:

PUAEME001 Provide emergency care

PUAEME003 Administer oxygen in an emergency situation

SISCAQU002 Perform basic water rescues

SISCAQU006 Supervise clients at an aquatic locations

SISCAQU007 Perform advanced water rescues

HLTAID003 Provide first aid (Issued as a Credit Transfer)

In addition, candidates will also receive:

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

*Participants in this course (Pool Lifeguard) are advised that there are no designated exit points in this program. For assessment purposes, trainer observation is conducted over the duration of the program and both practical and theory assessments are conducted in the final sessions of the last day. To ensure these assessment requirements are met, participants are to attend all sessions and successfully complete all assessments to be considered for an award.

Asthma Awareness

This course will equip candidates to safely assist an individual with an asthmatic condition in an emergency situation. The course focus includes identification of signs and symptoms of an asthma flare-up, assisting a person experiencing an asthma flare-up, providing emergency first aid to a person experiencing a severe or life-threatening asthma attack and using a metered dose inhaler and spacer device.

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of:

Anaphylaxis Management

The prevalence of anaphylaxis in Australia has increased significantly over the last decade with almost 20% of all Australians now having at least one know allergic disease.

Life Saving Victoria’s Anaphylaxis course will equip candidates with the skills and knowledge to safely assist an individual who is suffering from an anaphylactic reaction in an emergency situation.

The course focus includes understanding anaphylaxis, risk minimisation and auto-injector administration.

This course is recommended for any person responsible for the care of a person with an Anaphylaxis allergy. It is also recommended for Teachers, Child care staff, Care workers, Sports coaches / personnel and parents / guardians.

Successful completion of this course will result in the award of:

22300VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

VU21800 Provide first aid management of anaphylaxis

VU21801 Develop risk minimization and management strategies for anaphylaxis
